2 Days Safari of Rwanda’s Wildlife and City Tour
Known by the nickname of a thousand hills, Rwanda is a beautiful country to Visit! It is surrounded by scenic highlands, ever green lush vegetation, organized city, rich Culture and wildlife. Due to the small size of the country, accessibility to various destinations is easy.
The trip will take you to Akagera National Park for wildlife viewing and the city tour that involves visiting the Genocide museum, local markets and the city.
Day 1
Destination: Akagera National Park
Activity: Gem Safari
Pick up from place of your choice and drive to Akagera National Park. The park inhabits the “Big 5” namely; Elephants, Rhinos, Lions, Leopards and Bufalos. On a lucky, day you may encounter them all. Other animals are hippos, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Giraffes, Crocodile, Nile Monitor Lizards, and a variety of bird species like the starlings, Eagles, Kingfishers among others. It’s a 2 hours’ drive from the city Kigali to the Park, covering a distance of averagely 97 kilometers. The drive will resume from the south of the park and end from the north as you checkout to drive back to the city. You are expected to get back to the city at dusk.
Day 2
Destination: Kigali City
Kigali is one of the most organized Cities in Africa! Your guide will drive you around the city as he shares with you the social, cultural and economic life styles of the Rwandese.
You will as well, visit the Local markets, to witness a variety of local merchandise being sold. Agricultural products like Pineapples, avocados, different types of bananas and other products, will be at your exposure. This will surely help you relate on how differently things are done back home.
No matter how strong you may be, the story about Rwanda’s Genocide, will leave you saddened and wondering on how this could have happened to humanity. Over 800,000 Rwandese lost their lives. The Genocide Museum therefore narrates on how everything began and how it ended.
Later in the day, you will be driven back to your residence.
